Dallas Fort Worth International Airport Transfers

• Grapevine lies 4.5 miles north-west – a Dallas/Fort Worth Airport transfer takes under 10 minutes. Known for its nineteenth and twentieth century buildings, the town’s Main Street is lined with galleries, shops and eateries. Visit the Grapevine Vintage Railroad, and the Cotton Belt Railroad District housing artisan workshops including a blacksmith’s and glass-blowing studio. Equally, don’t miss the 8,000-acre lake.

• Dallas itself is just over 20 miles or 20 minutes by road from DFW International, to the north-west. Catch a Dallas Cowboys game, stroll the Arts District and check out the exciting culinary and cultural scenes of this modern metropolis. See where JFK was shot, visit the Sixth Floor Museum and admire the view from Reunion Tower.
• Glen Rose is 1 hour 15 minutes to the south-west or a 76-mile DFW Airport transfer. Take a safari from Fossil Rim wildlife centre, swim in the river at Big Rocks Park and see a 25-ft replica of Noah’s Ark. The downtown is packed with treasures like Somervell County Courthouse and vintage storefronts.
• Fort Worth is a 22-mile, 25-minute run to the south-west. The former cowboy trading post has plenty to see – visit the Kimbell and the Modern Art Museums. Watch a rodeo at Fort Worth Stockyards and don’t miss the National Cowgirl Museum or Sundance Square. There’s also a zoo and nice local gardens.
• Pilot Point is just over 40 miles south or just under an hour’s DFW Airport transfer. This quaint ranch town has an enchanting historic district and is ideally located for activities on Lake Ray Roberts including swimming and hiking.

1. Dinosaur Valley State Park is 84 miles south-west, or 90 minutes by road. Track dinosaur footprints along Paluxy River. Ride bikes, go fishing, swimming, paddling or horse-riding and watch wildlife. Various available tours include a horse-drawn wagon ride, plus there’s a visitors’ centre.
2. Grapevine Botanical Gardens is four miles north-west, or a six-minute Dallas/Fort Worth Airport transfer. This hidden gem is home to over 250 plant species, a butterfly sanctuary and a fish-packed pond. Stroll the winding footpaths and relax!
3. LEGOLAND Discovery Center lies four miles or six minutes north. The indoor entertainment venue incorporates Lego-themed rides, a soft-play area and 4D cinema, plus 12 LEGO build-and-play zones and a shop. Perfect for keeping the kids amused.
4. SEA LIFE Grapevine Aquarium is a few miles or a six-minute hop from the airport. The attraction incorporates thousands of aquatic creatures, plus a 360° ocean tunnel and interactive touch pools. Gaze at starfish, seahorses, sharks and jellyfish.
5. Highland Park Village is 30 miles away or a 45-60-minute airport run. Open-air and Mediterranean-style, it’s dubbed the ‘Beverly Hills of Dallas’. It’s full of high-end stores plus restaurants and a cinema.
6. Nasher Sculpture Center is 16 miles south-east of Dallas Fort-Worth, so you’re there within half an hour. View more than 300 works of modern art by artists including Picasso, Rodin and Matisse, from small works to huge installations.
